The Energy Poverty Advisory Hub (EPAH) and its Croatian antenna DOOR will host its 2nd Practitioners’ Event of 2025 on 30 September, bringing together policymakers, practitioners, researchers, and community leaders from across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) for a focused discussion on housing renovation and energy poverty.

Buildings are responsible for a significant share of the EU’s energy use and emissions. In the CEE region, ageing building stock and low renovation rates—currently around 1% annually—make improving housing conditions a shared priority. This event will explore how collaboration, knowledge exchange, and stable support frameworks can help accelerate renovation efforts and make housing more affordable and energy-efficient.

The programme will feature insights from experts from the region and interactive discussions on multigenerational households, rental protections, and ways to better reach vulnerable communities.

The event is open to all stakeholders active in or connected with the CEE region e.g. Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia.
