The RisingFoodStars elevates impactful early scaleups to the next level in becoming the game changers of the future in an international playground.
The higher goal of this network is to facilitate and stimulate collaboration and cross-fertilisation between RisingFoodStars, the members of EIT Food and external parties.
Eligibility criteria
- You have a technological solution within one of the six key EIT Food’s focus areas: Alternative proteins, Targeted nutrition, Digital traceability, Sustainable agriculture, Sustainable aquaculture, Circular systems.
- You have your legal entity based inan EU member state, or Horizon Europe associated countries.
- You are a SMALL sized company (between 5 and 49 employees and less than 10 million turnover or balance sheet) and exist less than 10 years.
- You expect to conclude a Series A within the next 6-12 months or you have recently raised a Series A.
- You are past the ideation phase, with preferably paying customers and at least a product-market fit in your home market.
- You are not involved in another EIT Food Entrepreneurs programme
- You complement the current pool of RisingFoodStarsand EIT Food partners, and you can add value to the network.
- You have no conflict of interest.
Within this framework, the RisingFoodStars Association leads six streams in which RisingFoodStars can participate:
- Matchmaking: De-risking collaboration with potential future partners and clients.
- Exposure: An exhibition spot at main EU agrifood events and financial
- Investor network: Personal introductions to relevant investors & support along the process of investment seeking.
- Traction: Access to structured supporting programme helping to advance the development and commercialisation of your technological solutions by piloting a project with leading corporates in the Agrifood industry.
- Scaleup support: Identifying specific company’s gaps and help you to tackle them with experts and mentors.
- EIT Food projects: Participation in partly funded projects – from second year onwards
