On the 18th of May 2018 Cleantech Bulgaria organized the first of its kind in Bulgaria forum “Circular Economy and Clean Technologies”. The event was held under the patronage of the Ministry of the Environment and Waters and was included in the official calendar of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
The forum was opened by the minister of the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU Council 2018, Mrs. Lilyana Pavlova, the minister of the Environment and Waters, Mr. Neno Dimov, as well as the co-chair of Cleantech Bulgaria, Mr. Lyubomir Peynovski.
The programme included specialized panels and interactive discussions, an institutional circular economy framework was presented, and market leaders such as IKEA, Zagorka, Solvay Sodi and Deloitte Bulgaria shared their good business practices. The culmination of the programme was an “Innovation dialogue”, in which some of the most significant innovation leaders of the EU participated – the six Knowledge and Innovation Communities of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).
Key representatives of executive power, as well as the top managers of some of the largest companies in Bulgaria presented the opportunities for investments in business partnerships for the creation and development of technologies with a positive environmental impact.
