The MASTERY consortium recently concluded its second consortium meeting, hosted by Cleantech, in the beautiful city of Sofia, Bulgaria, on June 24th and 25th. The meeting featured productive discussions on the implementation of various work packages and included a series of interactive workshops.
Highlights of the Workshops
Participants engaged in three insightful workshops focusing on:
- Methodology and Benchmarks for Identifying Micro-Credentials Priorities: This session delved into the strategies and criteria necessary to pinpoint essential micro-credentials in supporting green skills in order to define the priorities for the micro-credential system to facilitate the green transition in the targeted sectors.
- Micro-Credentials and Green Skills: This workshop explored the definition of micro-credentials, principles for designing and issuing micro-credentials, areas of action in education, training and labor market policies etc.
- Digital Storytelling: This workshop emphasized the importance of understanding why storytelling is important for projects’ development and to become a better storyteller.
Upcoming Publications and Focus Areas
The consortium is now preparing to publish the conclusions from surveys and interviews conducted by all partners. These studies focus on identifying green skills and knowledge needs across five targeted sectors:

Future Plans
Looking ahead, the next consortium meeting is scheduled for January 2025 in Yecla, Spain, hosted by CETEM. This meeting will continue to build on the project’s mission of enhancing collaboration between vocational education and industry. MASTERY aims to transform the approach to training needs by promoting innovative validation of green skills and the transferability of micro-qualifications.
