The project is financed under the Horizon Europe programme. Its main objective is to support the standardization process of construction materials fostering the twin transition. Leading organization is Cleantech Bulgaria, partners are the Technical University of Sofia, the Bulgarian Institute for Standardization, the Romanian Institute for Standardization, the Romanian Green Building Council, the engineering company Criscon – Italy and AB Corporation – Belgium).
In the manner of an in-depth discussion, the partners laid the foundations for starting the project activities, discussed important issues regarding new building materials, existing standards and the need for improvements in this direction.
Within the period of 24 months the partners will prepare a study of the regulatory framework, the existing standards and the needs of the industry in relation to new building materials; will elaborate a road map supporting the standardization process and a road map for specialized trainings; will prepare and pilot trainings for upgrading the necessary knowledge and skills in this field. In addition, communication activities will be implemented, actively engaging the responsible institutions in the process of standardization of new building materials.
