What is ESG, why SMEs and start-ups need to prepare their ESG strategy, how to write their ESG report and how ESG will help them to be successful and sustainable. These are just some of the questions to which the participants in the ESG training for SMEs and start-ups received an answer.
The training was held on 29.11.2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., in the Lunchee Hall, Sofia. It is part of the activities under the project “Ready for ESG Challenges”, funded by the “Development of Business, Innovation and SMEs” program of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, which is implemented by Cleantech Bulgaria Foundation and the Norwegian partner Frontier Venture, with the kind media partnership of ESGnews.bg – the first specialized media for promoting ESG in Bulgaria.
The training was received great interest by more than 40 representatives of about 25 SMEs and start-ups.
The latest ESG trends and requirements were presented, combined with practical advice and examples from business. The possibility of using artificial intelligence in the preparation of an ESG strategy was also considered.
The topics provoked an in-depth discussion, the participants exchanged contacts and ideas for possible cooperation regarding sustainable business development.
The ESG handbook with tips for development of ESG strategy, prepared under the project by the Norwegian partner, was presented to the SMEs and start-ups.
Within the framework of the project, two more ESG events are about to take place – a webinar in January 2024 and a final conference in February 2024, for which the participants expressed their desire to attend and will be informed in due time.
