The top-10 in the Grand Final win direct access to Climate-KIC Accelerator, the only EU business acceleration programme focused on cleantech commercialisation. On top of that the top-3 in the Grand Final win € 2,500 to € 10,000.
In order to participate applicants should:
have not yet started a business or started it less than one year ago;
have no substantial revenue;
have attracted less than € 200.000 in total funding (this includes all funding, so research grants, government loan, angel or vc investment etc, excludes your phd salary for instance)
have not yet sold products, solutions or prototypes on commercial terms.

Katerina Milanova is a Corporative Communications and Sustainable Development manager at “Zagorka AD” She has more than 15 years of international experience in marketing and communications field. Being part of Zagorka’s team for over two years, Katerina is responsible for the company’s corporate communications as well as the corporate social responsibility . The green and sustainable practices that ZAGORKA actively implements are part of the company’s successful business strategy. Katerina Milanova also coordinates the process of communication positioning of brands from the impressive portfolio of Zagorka AD.
Stoyana Georgieva (Mediapool.bg)
Stoyana Georgieva is a journalist, founder and editor-in-chief of the online edition Mediapool.bg and chairman of foundation “Info Space”. Mediapool.bg is the first news site in Bulgaria, founded in January 2000. Throughout its years of existence the site defends the independence and quality of journalism. Mediapool believes that the media’s mission is to inform people and that there can be no civil society if there are uninformed citizens. In the spring of 2017, Mediapool.bg initiated a campaign that denounces false news. The message of the campaign is "You are what you read" which purpose is to remind people that the decisions they make depends on the information they consume. Stoyana Georgieva represents Mediapool.bg at the Union of Publishers in Bulgaria, participates in various civic projects and Initiatives, as well as in the jury of different journalistic competitions.
Mariyana Hamanova (Cleantech Bulgaria)
Mariyana Hamanova is Co-Founder and Co-Chairperson of Cleantech Bulgaria. She has wide experience in leading complex international projects in the field of sustainable innovation and tech start up establishment and consulting. Most of the projects are based on collaboration with large cross-national groups of organizations, universities, clusters and innovation networks, as well with business incubators, accelerators and VCs with focus on cleantech.
Mariyana is also one of the founders of Back2BG – an initiative dedicated to Bulgarian specialists and students abroad. She is a co-organizer of the most important career fair in Bulgaria – “Career in Bulgaria. Why not?” focused on professional development of Bulgarians with international education and experience.
